Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Cable Technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage cabling systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with structured cabling, security systems, and network infrastructure in commercial and data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Install and service data networks, CCTV, access control, and AV systems
- Perform cable routing, dressing, and rack organization
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Preferred
- Fiber optic termination & testing
- Security / access control systems experience
- OSHA certification
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years experience in low voltage cabling
- Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards
- Proficient with cable testing tools (Fluke testers)
- Able to work at heights, confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
